Kien Viet announces 10 beautiful house projects in 2020
Experienced a long journey over the past year, Top 10 Houses Awards 2020 has come to an end with 10 best projects, selected from 113 projects across the country.
2020 is the third year in a row that the Top 10 House Awards are held. Although there have been difficulties due to the impact of the epidemic, during the 12 months of launching the contest, the Organizing Committee (BTC) has received the attention and response of a large number of architects across the country. In response to that support, BTC always tries to listen and innovate, in order to create a prestigious and quality domestic architecture award for architects.
After 2 rounds of fair and transparent judging, 08 judges selected the Top 10 Vietnamese houses in 2020 from 113 participating projects across the country. The jury appreciated the creative and aesthetic factors, but still ensured the functional factor first – the core thing in every architectural work.
Below is a list of 10 projects that won the Top 10 Houses Awards 2020 from architectural offices across the country that have received the absolute consensus from the BGK. In particular, this year’s Top 10 Houses Awards recorded a special sub-award – “Humanistic housing project”, which will be revealed shortly.
1. 3 compartments – A versatile, modern design for contemporary country houses
“The materials and architectural images are not unfamiliar to the countryside: the courtyard, the light, the tiled roof, the array, the public and private space, etc. Refined in a fresh, modern but simple and light layout solution. It is also necessary to emphasize the linear element in the layout of public and private spaces, promising flexible transformations for the architectural form of the house but still rustic and rural” – Architect Nguyen Van Tat.
2. Dong Anh House – “A strong flash of light encourages architectural creation”
“Dong Anh House is a strong light that promotes the emotions of architectural composition. It is the sublimation of contemplation on old traditional values, society, family, residential culture, etc. into contemporary life with delicate and emotional architectural behavior. With “Dong Anh house”, in addition to commenting on a round and interesting housing work, I think it is necessary to have a thank you to the author for spreading the inspiration of working as an architect to those who have a creative career. today.” – Architect Nguyen Van Tat.
3. Maison TT – Small house design in urban area
“Still using the familiar solution for small houses in urban areas, combining the skylight between the house and the stairs, the author has created a lively and attractive connection. Connecting the inside with the outside, connecting the functional spaces both horizontally and vertically, the fresh and fresh spiral traffic core with green trees and light create grace and charm for the small house 3 generation. Besides the satisfaction of static – dynamic, general – private functions, it is possible to sum up the emotions in architecture and interior with one word DUTY.” – Architect Vu Hong Cuong.
4. Dai An Apartment – “A fresh, attractive form is created from the content inside”
“What I like most about this rental apartment is a fresh, attractive form created from the content inside. The core of the house is the “sleeping modules” which are flexibly and vividly combined into apartments on the floor plan. Contemporary interior space with friendly and cozy materials and furniture will certainly attract users. The difficulty of a renovation project has been successfully and encouragingly resolved by the author.” – Architect Vu Hong Cuong.
5. Villa Tan Dinh – A unique design in a tight urban context
“In the context of a narrow, noisy city, the appearance of the house is like a strange mark. It is small, humble, does not show any shape or architecture, but only sees a green cover. The house is only 2 floors but compresses all the necessary functional spaces for a family. The closed blocks are minimized to maximize the “open block” which contains trees, light, water surface, giving everyone in the family a calm and peaceful atmosphere.
The gray color of the concrete and the beige color of the walls, the green of the tree, together with the ingenuity in handling the proportions of plates, pieces, solids and hollows, have created a beautiful and artistic structure” – Architect Le Truong.
6. Am House – Peaceful resort space in the middle of the river in the West
“A weekend house with the characteristics of a house in the West of the river. The image and proportions of the roof have created a liberal and welcoming atmosphere. With the advantage of construction land area, the house consists of only one floor with 5 functional blocks in a large, spreading space. The remaining space is the living space, corridor, creating a soft connection, maximum natural ventilation.
The ingenuity in the use of rustic, low-cost materials is the characteristic of a home that is less likely to be maintained, maintained or replaced.
The overall structure is simple but emphasizes the interference inside – outside, between water, aquarium, trees, air, light and people. It has all the peace of mind that the author wants to bring to the owner.” – Architect Le Truong.
7. Wall House – Interesting crust created from unexpected combinations
“Wall House has an interesting, creative shell: combining brick and greenery in an unexpected way. The space is both public and private, flexibly interwoven, handling microclimate conditions well” – Architect Hoang Thuc Hao.
8. Hoc Mon House – Introverted design, in harmony with the context
“Organize the space inward, the courtyard gathers well. The project solves separate – common, simple and flexible. Materials, colors are economical, light. The house is friendly, in harmony with the context” – Architect Hoang Thuc Hao.
9. Gia Nghia House – A typical traditional country house design with interesting use of materials
“The Gia Nghia house is a very simple traditional house that exploits the different inclinations of the roof fan to present different elevations and facades. The use of materials is interesting, but above all the most important part is undoubtedly the roof and the very high interior spaces. This is also a typical country house that has a good connection with the landscape, the balcony and terrace corners have a nice view of the surroundings” – Marco Casamonti Architect.
10. Da House – A liberal “spirit”, close to nature
“Da Houses is a project designed with the liberality of space, promoting the connection with nature to create a connection with people. Minimalist design style combined with tropical style has created the spirit of this house” – Architect Vuong Dao Hoang.
Sub-prize: “Works of humanities” – Lotus House
“The house was built in Hue, for the owner who is disabled, old and weak, has lost the ability to walk.
With 2 floors, full of necessary utilities for a family, simple decoration, a bit innocent, but the special thing in this house is the slope ram system as the main component of the house, it Completely replaceable for vertical movement to reach each space. For me, the image of the ramp ram is a symbol for the house, for the owner, for them to be completely independent, to rise up in life, to be completely on their own without any technical means. That’s the beauty, the humanity that the author brings” – Architect Le Truong.
Top 10 Houses Awards is an annual architecture award that seeks to find contemporary housing trends in Vietnam. This is a useful playground for young architects to show their passion for architecture and construction. At the same time, this is also an exchange opportunity for homeowners, architects, and production units in the industry to meet together to establish aesthetic values and architectural trends in housing in Vietnam.
